- Ever get to your destionation and realize that you forgot your shoes? Or got to the airport and realized your cell phone is on the kitchen counter? Create a packing list.
- If you travel often create a list that you can print off so packing is as simple as 1 2 3. On your check list make sure you list your chargers for your electronic devices. There is a great packing list on www.knockknock.biz.
- Do a quick weather check for your destination so you know what fabric weight you will need.
- Buy a separate set of toileteries that are for travel only. You are less likely to forget something if you don't have to pack it when your mind is elsewhere
- Forgot your phone charger. See the front desk person on duty, they will have a large box full of cords.
- Stay hydrated! Dehydration is a direct link to jet lag.
- Roll clothing into cylinders when packing helps cut down on packing.
- Unless you want to spend an hour ironing avoid linen and 100% cotton.
- Traveling internationally? Learn a few key phrases in the country's language you are visiting. It is amazing what a little extra effort can do.
- Always have the address of your hotel written in the country's language.
- If you have GPS down load a map of the city or area that you are visiting it can help you get oriented when you reach your destination.
